I don't have any ferret pictures so here are deer
Anyway I was at Petco for (reasons) last weekend and spent like 20 minutes playing with the ferrets
The girl there advised very strongly not to buy a ferret. They can get bitey, the house always smells like ferret, they chew everything. She says she's never buying a ferret again. Don't care about the biting, smell can presumably be addressed with essential oils, candles, Glade plug, whatever, I just won't have it near anything it shouldn't be chewing.
Convince me not to buy a ferret please.

Ferrets piss on everything and they stink. You don't want ferrets. I'm sorry to break it to you

They stink regardless. I think the musky/piss smell is just part of them. I don't think they house train like dogs or cats either but I've never had one. My sister in law did and my brother was going to break up with her if she didn't get rid of them. They were cool though but it's a pet you want to convince a close friend to get

It's from their balls and fegussies, so if you get rid of those, you're halfway there. But that won't actually stop them. Their musk will always win.
