One thing I'm seeing in the 2nd Trump term that was much more subdued in his 1st term is the sheer spitefulness of it all - people will gleefully embrace being made worse off as long as it makes their enemies suffer as well. It's an even darker reflection of the leftoid embrace of policies that hurt the poor that also happen to hurt the rich even more.
