I've said it before, and I'm sure that I can be somewhat verified as not that user, but it is true that ChromeOS is the wave of the future and as ChromeOS and android become integrated it's over for everybody else.
It never began for applecels, even back in '77.
And windows, well at least legacy Windows is still running on some warships and in banks.
But things are changing.

chromeos can do wording processing, spreadsheeting (microsoft word, google docs etc), you can even program to a great capacity

programming on chrome is gimped compared to a cheap laptop with linux on it, and shit like photo/video editing that relies heavily on computers is nonexistant. yeah you can do spreadsheets but so can a shitty laptop from 2003, u cant really do much more than just write text with it

yeah you can't video/photo edit and there can be road blocks with compatibility for programmers, but the vast majority of people's time on a computer is spent on word processing and spreadsheeting
a chrome book is basically just a cheap laptop, it's just that it's also a lot faster than the competition at a similar price range
