season 1 and to a lesser extent 2 were great and I'll rewatch episodes from them with pleasure. Everything after that when they started diversifying the writers room and dan harmon became an uber woke cuck is trash.

I think his divorce broke him.

There was no reason to make Summer a #girlboss, it was a way more interesting dynamic when Rick/Beth were the geniuses and Morty/Summer were huge frick ups due to Jerry's genes.

Also Rick constantly saying shit like "wubbalubbadubdub, the pay gap is real" is way out of character, but I can appreciate the genuine resentment the writers have for their fans, actively wanting to troll them like that.
