Literally stop drinking soft drinks is what it takes for most. I've seen a literal ton of people lose literal tons of weight just from stopping drinking soda when they're thirsty and drinking water.

Remember pop was a treat and wasn't meant to be how people completely hydrated themselves. Same thing with smoking. People used to smoke a pipe or roll their own for a way to relax after dinner etc. Now with mass production and bulk packaging it's made stuff like soda pop easier and more convenient to consume than it was ever thought to be when conceived.

If youre a complete pig, yeah. IIRC, I lost about 30 pounds when i did that and a few other things, but still managed to gain some back after quitting smoking.

It dawned on me how weak I had let myself become about a year after I left the Navy. My motivation to lift again was part shame and part fear of becoming a disgusting fat frick like the ones I see lumbering around the aisles at HEB. The first two weeks back in the gym hurt so goddarn much but was well worth it.

Shame is a good motivator but it seems like most people have none.

I havent changed my diet for several months, i only started losing real weight when i did cardio 5 days/strength 3 days. Caloric intake "alone" is a meme for 16 year old girls trying to starve themselves for prom.
