"Ukraine" means "borderland" (more accurately - march), but when that name started getting used on that territory it was the borderland of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and later PLC. Grand Duchy of Moscow had it's own ukraines (marches).

Some ukrohistorians have tried to come up with a variety of copes for some different etymology of the name, but none of them have been treated seriously anywhere else. Well, maybe they will start now in western unis, idk.

It's a tale as old as time, it's literally part of the playbook. You infiltrate an organization and get "your team" into positions of authority, you subvert its values and ideas and replace them with your own, and then you oust the old guard for not believing in the organization's message. Same thing they did to HR and academia and journ*lism.

The problem they run into is that it doesn't work as well online as it does irl. "Just go to another college/get another job" requires time, money and effort, but "just use different websites" takes basically no work on my part.

Banning /r/freemagic i assume, which is the chud heavy spin off sub that formed because the main magic the gathering sub has standard reddit moderation (trains are heckin valid, no criticism of women, etc).
