My wife is currently preggers with our first and is about 13 weeks along. What becomes clear is how fricking quickly that bundle of cells starts to resemble a baby human, and how they have all the right bits and pieces in place even around the 8-10 week mark. By the first ultrasound at around 12 weeks, it blew my fricking mind that I could see my little "clump of cells'" arms and legs moving. They show you its brain. It's a moment I'll never forget, and both of us are very much in the "that's a baby" camp...and find it hard to believe anyone could think and speak so callously about wanting to abort it, even at the 12 week mark, let alone around 20 weeks.
Pretty sure the little fecker mooned us actually, now that I think about it. If that's not a human instinct being demonstrated I don't know what the frick is.
