Thereβs schizo gibbering on the cord about how we should add a toggle to let users convert all Reddit links to Libreddit links.
Upmarsey this thread if you want that, downmarsey if you donβt.
PROS
β’ Something something something privacy
β’ Reddit problems with Tor or whatever
β’ Deprive Reddit of one of its 52 million unique users per month
CONS
β’ imo itβs a waste of time
β’ wildly unnecessary feature bloat
β’ catering to paranoid schizophrenics never ends well; slippery slope

That error happens when the server is restarting. The server restarts when we make a change. That restart there was a bugfix. We have many of those to make today and we are also laying the groundwork for fun new features that are almost ready to deploy.

You can probably also just have your proxy retry connections while server restarts. Lots of options

Our QA process is entirely just pushing a change and then fixing what people start shrieking about it breaking and then repeating this process until the shrieking stops.

Testing on prod is the future anyway so this site is just a trailblazer in that respect.
