I don't know if anybody but white progs would be offended if you put a wendigo in a game but they get offended at everything.
I just thought it never happened because no one knows what a wendigo is. Same with other native legends, not enough people are familiar with them.

SCP - 096 is literally a wendigo and the progs don't mind. The trick is too change it a little and not call it the offending word. The prog mind is so regarded they don't recognize a thing without the offending word being used along with it.

The skinwalker annoys me most because the 4chan version is an r-slured take on the real thing. Folklore accurate Skinwalkers are insane shapeshifting murderous witches who get that power by murdering a loved one. They can pretend to be your husband, walk into your house because you let them in, murder your family, and then fly off in the form of an owl. They are much scarier than just a weird desert dwelling creature.
