All I wanted for so long in Indian media was death of bollywhores Now I want all those pretentious nepo baby stars to slowly go bankrupt from their extravagant lifestyle with no income.
I literally can't name one of their movies released in last two years sitting in the capital. Total and utter decimation, I wouldn't believe someone telling me this would happen even as late as 2018.

tv shows are much better usually. & number of people watching foreign movies and shows have increased too. Before 1990s we would barely got any international shows. Rise of broadband and smartphones has allowed a lot of people to access these shows and movies which they couldnt before.

Internet changed things a lot. They've lost advantage of being only decent budget hindi media, even non Hindi films are getting dubbed nowadays and they never had enough stopping power as creators to survive once that monopoly went away. A lot of their hits, I'd say maybe 70-80% I liked was IP of those non Hindi movies or even foreign ones creatively its one of the most bankrupt industries even in India.
