If you could afford it (approx. 75-150 euro yearly membership) just join any high profile society or club that does events for members. I joined an Antiquarian Society just to find fellow spergs to talk about niche history stuff
Members get access to all their materials and journals which are just interesting reads on their own.
I joined a Hedgerow Society which paid for members accommodation for a get-away weekend where we drank all night at a bar after spending all day with Foresters and Farmers learning to how to plant native woodland
