Honestly theres no way it doesnt have some really bad side effect. Thats basically the entire story of modern medication in a nutshell. Helps with whatever the problem is, but gonna create another set of problems for you. The more miracle-like it helps, the worse its side effects are gonna be.

I bet there will be really strange side effects down to line. Regular side effect short term are all over the place. Plus it affects hormonal system. And even desired effects are strange.
It kinda reminds me Thalidomide. It was/is miracle drug that is used to treat anything from cancer to hiv to anxiety and sleeplessnes. It even helps with morning sickness. But it has nasty side effect of messing with fetus causing anything from death to birth defects.
It managed to frick up something like 20k kids before it was stopped.

The effects of thalidomide on foetal development were discovered within 2 years of it being on the market as an antiemetic for pregnant women, and back then medications for pregnant women weren't tested very carefully because people thought they couldn't pass the placental barrier. GLP-1 agonists have been on the market for almost 20 years and at a much wider circulation than thalidomide. I understand wishing for drama but you have to be strategic or you'll blueball yourself.

Why would it paralyze your stomach? I have never heard of that side effect. It works as a GLP-1 agonist, which normally has the effect of reducing/stabilizing blood sugar (hence why it's prescribed for diabetes) and also it does some funky things in the brain that make you not hungry (hence the weight loss)
