I hate toyfication of every hobby. Just throw endless ammount of money for stuff. Dont focus on skills and on yourself.

I went to 6 day hike with other people few years ago. They spend good money for their stuff. They were exited to show everything. They spend whole lot of time taking stuff out of tent and putting it back in.

All that and they didnt have single clue how to set up their backbags or even how they should be adjusted. One person couldn't even get it on her back on her own.

It bothered me that they werent in good enough shape to make whole trip in 5 days. We had to have all that extra food and gear just for that.

With hiking. It dosent matter how much stuff and how you are carrying your stuff. If you are in shape. You can still do it and have amazing time.

I knew a guy who was into ultra light backpacking and would cut half the grip off of the toothbrush he packed in order to save an extra 5 grams or so these people are completely unhinged

Ban me from the room then i dont care honestly, if it's your room do what you like. Ur the definition of a butt hurt liberal who can't handle other opinions. I never had a problem with liberals. Most of my family is. The thing is they are jfk libs unlike the far left bs of today.
