More to the point, government support should only extend to the barest minimum required for existence, not luxury products and such. To put it another way, no, you don't "deserve" to "treat" yourself, a treat is something you earn.
One of my most hated examples of this is the bullshit stat that leftoids love to repost ad nauseam, that there is no state where minimum wage can rent a two-bedroom(!) apartment. I have no idea why they put "minimum" and "two-bedroom" into the same sentence, but they do, and I wish I had the right to kill them for it.

the cities drive up the average prices they quote by a crazy amount. illinois' minimum wage is $15. going by the 30% rule, we can allocate $720 to rent. i searched smaller cities and there are tons of places like this:
