Really fake because he laid it on too thick. First, they're living together for seven years, then literally the day before the wedding she tells me "actually I'm a lesbian and I have been for the past two years, oh yeah and my parents knew"? Okay, maybe I could believe he was just that dumb.
But then (1) he has to tell us his parents died when he was twenty so he is just a poor lonesome orphan and (2) his sister died age seventeen in a car accident so he's a poor lonesome orphan with no family at all.
Then he lays it on that nobody paid any attention to him. He lost so much weight he had to be hospitalised three times - THREE TIMES! My dude, 15 kg in 3 months is 5 kg a month, that's a little over 1 kg a week, you could lose that much just from fluid retention or not eating garbage all the time. Unless you're already as skinny as Gandhi, you are not going to the hospital just because you lost that amount of flab.
So since everybody seems to be swallowing this tale as true, he's going to "update" (that is, make up more lies) in a couple of days. Bet it's gonna be how he met this new hot chick who is a million times better than his old girlfriend and anyways his ex is now dying of cancer while he won the lottery.
Make it believable - she decides to come out as lesbian and dumps you, all your so-called 'friends' don't give a darn about you, sure. That's plausible. I'm a poor lonesome orphan and all of my family members died tragically and I was seven years into a relationship with a lesbian who dumped me the day before the wedding and I had to be hospitalised three times because of a broken heart? Not so much.
EDIT: Reading the updates and yep. Magically it is all now working out in his favour. Everyone ignored him because the b-word ex lied about him being violent, her new girlfriend contacted him to apologise, he told all those fakes some home truths and then blocked them, he's going to therapy and doing great, he's gonna sue his ex, oh and he got that promotion and his boss gave him extra vacation time and he showed them, he showed them all!
