Local Italian places suck

4/5 of the local Italian spots I've been to are so bland and boring. Pasta isn't even hard, just add salt, black pepper and a touch of garlic come on. And they charge restaurant tier prices too for that tin foil nonsense :marseytinfoil2:

Not the case where I live, many quality American Italian restaurants. Most are pizza first or have pizza as a focus, but they usually make a pretty legit Eggplant Parm, Chicken Parm, and/or Chicken Piccata.

The only acceptable parm is one made from the flesh of a baby cow that's never seen the light of day.

Theres an Italian Trattoria near me that's pretty New York Italian authentic.

Owner has an insane fascination with New York baseball and the Yankees.
