Sesame's flavor is not very heat tolerant. It's why it's used as a finishing oil and in general id suggest you go with a higher heat for a better sear, then finish with seeds.

Sesame seed encrusted is usually what I see people doing in most recipes and what I'm used to eating in restaurants.

Do you think my sear looks bad?

I don't see a lot of color. I think maybe you can finish it with a blowtorch if you want it extra raw. Sesame seed encrusted stuff is often done after the initial cook.

:marseynotes: I'll have to keep that in mind next time i cook some.

Probably with use a outdoor grill though :marseygrilling:

I don't like your presentation. You're obviously all about division.

Sorry, friendo, but humanity cannot move forward as a 1980s school :marseydylan: lunchtray.

Should we sit in our very own highchairs for din'din at "lain's" house? If I eat the pees out their very own little :marseymaoist: space, do I then get nanners and pudding?

For frick's sake, just break those borders up with some sauce or something. TEAR DOWN THOSE WALLS!

I sort of do the same. For instance, with breakfast, I'll always save a bacon for last.

Looks like a solid meal. You could do something with the rice like turn it into Spanish rice or something if youre going to eat it on the side

Brown it in the skillet, then cook it with chicken broth and san marzano tomatoes, or broth and mixed vegetables like peas and carrots.

Yeah tuna is usually cooked seared, it's very much a "tuna steak".

This would be fine eaten as sushi, completely raw.

i thought I was going to inevitable comments saying it was overcooked tbh.

It does look a little overcooked and under seared.

Pretty much used this recipe, held back a bit on the spice amounts - a tad much for my liking.

I was sort of skeptical of using actual seasoning on the tuna directly but I think it turned out great!

I think it was pretty spot on cook wise too, I used a very hot cast iron with peanut oil and grilled 60 seconds each side. First time I thought it would be much worse. :marseylickinglips:

:marseycheckem2: - mustard is a good idea.

I just got some yellow fin from Whole Foods, I personally like their seafood selection even if the prices are $$ more. :marseymerchant:

You only need to get bad oysters once to not mind paying more :marseysick:
