Maybe it's actually an Italian-American thing?

I'd assume any mild-medium jarred peppers would work, something with a bit more kick than a banana pepper.

Pepperoncini, known as friggitelli in Italy, are small, yellow peppers with Mediterranean origins. Maybe they're named something different there?

Vlasic sells jars of sliced up banana peppers. That'd do the same thing for this recipe anyway, might as well just use those.

idk i've just always used peperoncini and garlic - with the achiote to make it look less grey. i feel like ranch and butter would :marseywood: bring it into those CRACK :marseylaugh2: CHICKEN :marseykfc: recipe realms where :marseydrama: it triples the calories for only a small :marseyminipixel: amount more flavor :marseyguyfieri:

The butter def adds calories :marseyhealthy: but the ranch in question is the goyslop packets. They'll be very negligible for the overall dish

this is one of my most commonly cooked lazy recipes during the winter :marseyitssnowver: - it makes quite a few meals and freezes easily if you're going :marseysal2: through one of those not-eating phases for easy protein

Opinion on Sauerbraten? "the raw meat is marinated for 5 to 15 days in a mixture of vinegar, water, herbs, spices, and seasonings."
