They shape food like a pie chart because the plate is round. People don't even do that generally anyway. If Pizzashil had a square plate, his stake wouldn't be dangling off the edge like that.

Square plates are trickier to manufacture, wash, and store, and are probably also less durable.
What's the advantage? Impressing your hipster friends? Pizza doesn't have any friends, let alone hipsters.

Again, this is not a Wendys burger. No sane person actually uses the square edges of a square plate because it looks ridiculous, and puts food too far away from the centre.
