Yeah it's good. One of the best options for cheap, filling, marginally healthy food. I used to get subway all the time back when I was in grad school.

Depends. The meta for maximizing protein and calories is meatball marinara with double meat, which is a hilarious sandwich and the wagie will hate you for ordering it.
I'd ubereats two of those to the office back when I was an intern and used to go in on weekends to lift and get some work done.

Yeah same I'd get fat lol. Man back then I used to order a bunch of cookies with it too. Subway cookies are legit (double chocolate is great).
I like the meatball marinara for taste. Really personal preference. I don't like deli meat that much.

Their subs have never been amazing but when they had the $5-6 footlongs it was decent value. Now their subs are like $10+ and the quality hasn't changed, you're better off going to a better sandwich place.

$5 sweet onion chicken teriyaki was
back in the day. Jimmy John's gargantuan is still the best fast food sandwich imo but its been hit even harder by Bidenomics than Subway. Now I only go to this tiny deli near me with 5" thick pastramis for $11. Great deal, but service is painfully slow.

It's unironically the worst fast food place. They give no shits about their reputation and basically ran it like a pyramid scheme (even more so than other franchises). The startup costs for a store are much lower than places with actual kitchens so they sold it as a get rich quick scheme to utter r-slurs. Similarly the training is extremely easy so these r-slur owners hire absolutely bottom of the barrel employees.
They took the fact that there was less to frick up serving cold cuts as a license to frick up more.
Subway is basically a scheme to hoover up the free credit the government forces banks to give to r-slurs
