I saw these in the store and had to buy them for the novelty. They were surprisingly decent. They look like pizza rolls but taste almost exactly like a White Castle burger it's bizarre. I won't buy them again because lol but I will finish the bag.

Smoked some ribs and made homemade BBQ sauce for the Old Man for Father's day. We're going to a ball game tomorrow since we couldn't meet up on Sunday. The chicken is my meal for the next couple days.

I recently had a huge craving for some Sri Lankan pan rolls but the closest shop that sells halfway decent ones is about 40 mins away
Following a recipe online I spent 5 hours recreating them and it worked perfectly
https://www.sbs.com.au/food/recipe/pan-rolls/kmdo6owyq
You have to start by making the spice mix
I'm not sure what the recipe intended, but I didn't like the thought of roasting something on a pan without oil. I used a little bit of oil for each spice and ended up with a paste at the end, but it worked out very well. I only bought the closest approximation to each spice that I could find, and it ended up tasting exactly like the ones I buy from the Sri Lankan joint. You can't skimp out on the cardamom pods though.
The next two tasks are to make the curry, and prepare the wraps for the shell. If you try this you should prepare the batter mix first and give it time to rest. When making the curry, cook it in small batches so it doesn't get too moist.
While you let the curry cool down, make the pancakes and stack them up.
When you are done you can start wrapping the curry in the pancakes. Proper pan rolls have a uniform shell, these ones are wrapped up like burritos but it's ok. Extra wrapping makes them filling and you only need to eat 2 for dinner.
This took so frickin long
Cover in milk then dunk in panko crumbs and fry in a shallow pan. Just cook them until the crumbs look edible.
Following the recipe quantities will provide a shit load and should keep you fed for a week.

Denmark has recalled several spicy ramen noodle products by South Korean company Samyang, claiming that the capsaicin levels in them could poison consumers.
Three fiery flavours of the Samyang instant ramen line are being withdrawn: Buldak 3x Spicy & Hot Chicken, 2x Spicy & Hot Chicken and Hot Chicken Stew.
Denmark's food agency issued the recall and warning on Tuesday, urging consumers to abandon the product.
But the maker Samyang says there's no problem with the quality of the food.
"We understand that the Danish food authority recalled the products, not because of a problem in their quality but because they were too spicy," the firm said in a statement to the BBC.
"The products are being exported globally. But this is the first time they have been recalled for the above reason."
It's unknown if any specific incidents in Denmark had prompted authorities there to take action.
The Danish Veterinary and Food Administration said it had assessed the levels of capsaicin in a single packet to be "so high that they pose a risk of the consumer developing acute poisoning".
"If you have the products, you should discard them or return them to the store where they were purchased," it said in a statement.
It also emphasised the warning for children, for whom extremely spicy food can cause harm.
The notice has sparked heated discussion online with many amused reactions from lovers of spicy food. Many have made assertions about the Danes' low tolerance for spice.
"I had a friend from Denmark who thought tasteless breaded shrimp with a little bit of ground pepper on it was too spicy. Not surprised they think this ramen is poison," read one top-liked comment on the Reddit /r/Korea group.
Samyang said it planned to "closely look into the local regulations" in Denmark and respond after that.
The noodles don't appear to have been recalled before in any other country, nor have there been other safety warnings issued.
Capsaicin is the chemical compound in chilli peppers which creates the burning feeling.
When humans eat peppers, the capsaicin is released into saliva and binds on to receptors in the mouth.
Samyang is a major South Korean food manufacturer which brands itself as the first company in the country to create instant noodles, back in the 1960s.

Samyang Buldak 3 x Spicy & Hot Chicken, 2 x Spicy & Hot Chicken and Hot Chicken Stew are being recalled as the levels of total capsaicin in the products pose a risk of acute poisoning.
If you have the products, you should discard them or return them to the store where they were purchased.
Some European can't handle the spiciness so they whine to the regulators about "acute capsaicin poisoning"

1/4 lb 80/20 ground beef patty with garlic/peppered bacon mixed in; was initially going to go with brioche for the bread, but I thought toasted ciabatta would hold up better with the sauce.
I fricked up poaching an egg because it's been years since I've done it so I ended up just doing a butter basted lazy egg.
Broke out the immersion blender for some bearnaise and topped it with candied jalapeños.
Asperger's and a stuffed jalapeno wrapped in that delicious garlic bacon on the side.

Not trying to spam, but I was so taken aback by that cheez cookie abomination because since acclimating myself to the island, I've learned to appreciate real food. Above is my dinner from last night: the Heinz baked beans and sausage pizza from Iceland (the supermarket, not the country). After having this master peice, I have to admit thar I was wrong. Uk cuisine is wonderful, but it takes some warming up to!
!goyslopenjoyers of the UK, pick one up from your local Iceland supermarket!
