Wow. How can you put into words the greatness that is Kamala Harris, other than to say that you have to witness its significance over the passage of time? We are just simple folks here at the Bee — but we know there is great significance to the passage of time.

We are grateful that when America is on the brink of losing its democracy and probably everyone becoming Nazis, the person standing strong against the forces of darkness is Kamala Harris. TAIPEI (Taiwan News) --- Taiwanese American drag queen and "RuPaul's Drag Race" winner Nymphia Wind (妮妃雅) has endorsed Kamala Harris for president ahead of this November's election.

Nymphia, who made history this year as the first East Asian American to win "RuPaul's Drag Race," announced her endorsement of the Harris-Walz presidential ticket in a video released by Taiwanese Americans for Harris in October.

"If you believe that LGBTQ folks deserve to be treated equally, then vote for Harris and Walz," Nymphia urged in the video. She also shared her personal story of being bullied as a child due to her sexual orientation, highlighting Governor Tim Walz's early advocacy for LGBTQ equality.

"As someone who was bullied as a kid, it was so touching how Coach Walz initiated the first queer student club, decades before marriage equality became the law of the land," she said, also noting his support for banning conversion therapy, a cause she holds dear.

Nymphia emphasized, "Taiwan needs an ever-inclusive America in protecting Taiwanese sovereignty and ensuring that our democracy, freedom, and equality can continue to shine."

From October 3 through October 23, children had the opportunity to virtually cast their votes for the 2024 President of the United States, choosing between Republican nominee Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris. More than 32,000 submitted their ballots to Nickelodeon.

The winner has now been announced, with Harris receiving 52 percent of the votes in the poll. Trump, of course, received 48 percent of the votes.

The results were read out during Nickelodeon's half-hour Kids Pick the President special, which aired on October 28. The segment was hosted by TV personality and football commentator Nate Burleson and his daughter, Mia Burleson.

The special also featured children from across the country discussing the 2024 US presidential election, as they shared who they voted for in the virtual poll and discussed some of the biggest issues happening in America.

Trump's Fascism is Real

Trump talks about immigrants "poisoning the blood of our country,"

Trump just days ago started talking about the "enemy within" and named democratic politicians.

Trump said he would be a "Dictator on day one"

General John Kelly, Trump's chief quotes Trump as having said "I need the kind of generals that Hitler had,"

I am so terrified for our country and what Trump inspires. Trump will not put on a NAZI armband. That is not the way he operates but his messaging inspires the worst in America and if he is reelected, every rightwing nationalist group will be empowered. They will march through the streets, and when riots break out, Trump will blame the violence on the counter protesters.

Please do not dismiss this. Our democracy really is on the line.

What this election is about

This election is a referendum on what kind of democracy we want to be. Do we want to be a Hungary style autocracy, or a tolerant democracy. Are we a country of science and fact checked decision making or are we a country of conspiracists?

Are we able to live in peace and harmony with our LGBT neighbors or do we believe that people with different gender orientations represent some societal moral collapse? Nobody is saying that there are more than two sexes male and female. But different gender identities are just as real. We as Americans lift people up. We do not tear people down.

Are we a country of immigrants or do we buy into the toxic fear and paranoia pushed by the right. Have you been attacked or harmed by immigrants? The answer is most assuredly no. We must reject the fear mongering. The immigrants are not killers and male feminists. They are not "eating the pets". These blood libelous attacks are NOT ok. In fact, studies repeatedly show that crime rates amongst immigrants is lower than the general population. Immigrants want to be here and support their families not get in trouble with the law and risk getting deported. Support funding for more border agents. Support ways to extend work visas so it is easy for people to be here in full compliance of the law.

Are we a country that trusts the judgements of the scientific community or are we a country of cynical conspiracists? Global warming is real. It is not a conspiracy of hippy tree huggers. Are we going to face our challenges like adults or are we going to beat are chests like cavemen and shout "Drill Baby Drill"? Nobody thinks we can or should eliminate oil and gas but we should embrace a heathy mix of energy sources that include wind and solar. The anti-environmentalism is really being driven by the oil and gas industry that hates any competition.

Are we able to manage the economy intelligently or do we just adopt discredited wishful thinking? I know that the inflation hasn't been pleasant to say the least. The primary causes of the inflation were supply chain disruptions due to covid. Inflation has now come down quite a lot and is now at 2.4% which really isn't bad. We should not do anything radical. We should continue to invest in infrastructure. (Trump couldn't even pass an infrastructure bill it was a big joke to him) We should invest in housing. We should invest in small business. These are all things that Kamala Harris will do. We should not embrace some mad tariff scheme that every economist will tell you is inflationary. The price increases of tariffs always do more harm than good. Jobs and industries can move around but high prices are high prices. When you spend more on your car or your electronics, that is money you could be spending on your retirement or on vacations with your family.

Are we going to defend democracy in Europe? The war in Ukraine was launched by Putin against its peaceful neighbor in a blatant act of land grabbing aggression. Anyone who thinks that Putin unchecked would voluntarily stop his western expansion is blind or delusional. Putin is a tyrant! Russian totalitarianism cannot coexist with democratic freedom of speech and expression. It is absolutly right that we support Ukraine in its fight. We are America, we defend our values.

Please let us not go backward. Reject fear. Let hope win. Let idealism win. Choose the path forward. Choose Kamala Harris as the next president of the United States.

Trump declared bankruptcy six times over failed Casinos.

Trump started Trump University to defraud people via phony seminars. Real conman theft against people who believed in him.

The Trump Foundation's committed multiple ethical and legal violations, including failure to register in New York, self-dealing and illegal campaign contributions. It took multiple lawsuits to shut it down.

Trump stole national security documents.

Trump holds responsibility for the Jan 6 riots.

Trump attempted to steal the election and conspired to introduce fake slates of electors.

Trump falsified business record to cover up an affair with a porn actress.

Trump inflated and deflated the value of his properties in tax fraud schemes worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

Trump was found to have committed sexual assault and libel.

Trump continues to engage in grift schemes with digital trading cards, and Chinese printed bibles.

This list is not the result of the "Libs" just wanting to go after Trump. Trump's criminality is real and real American deserve a leader that is not a crook.

Trump's Record as President was Horrible

Trump was a horrible president. His administration was marked by unending chaos, scandals and staff turnover.

Trump accomplished almost nothing – some tax breaks for the rich; a few miles of additional wall that have far less benefit than additional border agents would.

He abandoned the Paris climate accords. He treats environmental concerns and technology with scorn. He put big oil in charge of the EPA. He promoted burning coal.

He inspired riots and white nationalist fury.

He treated immigrants with the utmost cruelty – separating women and children at the border. People were locked in cages. He has zero empathy toward the dreamers who came here as young children and would like a path toward citizenship. He attacks immigrants with blood libelous lies that dehumanize them and fuel intolerance in our communities.

He utterly failed to properly address the Covid crisis and chose anti-vaxer conspiracy over the scientific expertise of people with PhDs in virology and epidemiology.

He stacked the supreme court with "his" judges, who overturned Roe and ripped away reproductive freedoms for women to choose what is right for them and their families for the most sensitive issues.

Why is he looked upon fondly?? Is our memory as a nation so poor. After 9-11, Benjamin Netanyahu said, "American's knowledge of history does not extend past breakfast." Is this true? Are we too addicted to our phones to even remember the recent past? It is just so sad.
