Season 4 of The Wire is the greatest season in television history, TV peaked right here.

Also BB and Better Call Saul are shit.

Zero chance that The Wire would have been greenlit today or really any time after 2014 (if not much earlier). Or it would completely remove any criticism or introspection of the black community, a la Boondocks reboot. It would not even hint at the actual issues and primary root causes, but would unwaveringly blame everything but.

Not like any further evidence is needed on essentially a self-evident statement, but David Simon’s new show is exclusively on issues/corruption within the Baltimore PD. I guarantee you that it will not stray even an inch into the (now) verboten social commentary that The Wire highlighted.

The new show was pretty good. I was worried it would go too hard into the progressive viewpoint but outside of one little bit it didn't.

Last I checked on the guy he was absolutely sperging out at someone who replied to his tweet because he had an "emoji that only Trumpers use" in his username and was alerting everyone not to listen to anything that Twittertard says.

Nice to hear he's actually somewhat capable of containing himself and still writing good shows.

Thanks man. I’m definitely surprised to hear that and will check it out now.
