A carpomon should possess:

greasy yellow skin with brown spots and stripes
bulging slimy fish eyes
a gaping carp mouth, complete with barbels
spindly fins or folds of fat in place of arms and legs
a suitably pathetic aura

You can make the pokemon look carpy or dress the baseline carp up as a pokemon. PIxel art, doodles, whatever. Just don't submit fish like this:
