The conflict between forumposters and offsitestrags is timeless. I maintain that irc is cooler than groomercord but it was irc before where users would congregate and form cliques and parasocial relationships which would spill over into the main site. If left unchecked the main site becomes incomprehensible, any lurkers viewing the forum would just see noise about what fartlover420 told heil_hitler69 in fifth period.
Chatrooms are also just gay as frick in general and stream of consciousness chit chat is inherently homosexual compared to the sacred institution of public, organized, quality content

You're underestimating how fricking annoying it is when powerusers form behind the scene cabals on Groomercord. These types of forums/discussion sites were never meant to deal with multiple power users coordinating and controlling shit using alternative channels. This is pretty much how Digg died, and it's what caused the strag takeover and pooping up of SubredditDrama back in the day. In fact the mod and poweruser cabals are easily the worst part of Reddit and why the website has a bad reputation today.
I know the jannies use Groomercord and I've complained about it straight to them to not rely on it for jannying this place. But just because jannies use it doesn't mean that it should be okay for every other r-slur here to start participating in rdrama.net-cords because it's a great way to shit this site up with boring, incestuous meta-drama that no one likes. This place will only go downhill if we get more mods (or people influencing this site) who post mostly on friend simulator chatrooms instead of rdrama itself.
