Junkies used to get heroin from receptive and guilt ridden doctors in the 30-40s. Once the doctors have real evidence based guidelines it's very hard to reverse that. But there will 100% be a niche subset pushing the edges of law and it will become its own thing like doctors who prescribed weed liberally when it was meant for cancer patients

I think this is right. The majority of doctors just do what they're told because they're too stressed/overworked/in debt to do any different.
It'll be similar to opiates, they prescribed them when they thought it was fine, now they don't (mostly).

Mostly the US. Tavistock which was the main (or only) trans medical clinic in the UK and I think Sweden(?) who was actually studying the hormone stuff while prescribing it liberally wasn't doing any surgery on minors, if I remember correctly. They had doctors get extremely uncomfortable on just hormones alone.
The US surgeries on minors is probably not that large. The evidence we got from the Boston hospital and elsewhere was in the tens each. But many, many thousands of kids taking hormones and puberty blockers which will have life time consequences like sterilization is bad enough as it is. And when they are 18+ it's off limits.

The main premise is literally that any obstacle to 'self actualization' is by definition wrong and so anyone should be allowed to do whatever, especially concerning intimate things like s*x.
