It's both which makes it funnier. the charming veneer of the world scraping off as this person enters actual adulthood at the age of 40 and also their favorite things that used to be quality as a kid are falling to ruin as the collective expectations of the population plummet to extreme lows while being bilked for every last cent. Disney as concept is collapsing and it's taking these people's entire identities with it.
