I thought buying a 400mm lens would make me better at bird photos but it seems that I need more practice, and importantly, birds.

Shot on a Canon R5 in crop mode at 26,000iso because my hands are so shaky and I needed to get the shutter speed up with my EF 400/4L lens.

I was gonna ask if you were using high speed film before I saw this :marseyxd:

you could try a cheap chinesium bipod and brace it on a branch or table

otherwise it might just be a matter of messing with the stabilizer/vibration reduction settings. Im more familiar w Nikon but I assume that yours probably has a couple of different modes on the lease and a couple buried in some submenu on the body itself
