Girl in question is very defensive of the fact she isn't poor

Lawcels who went to shitty schools cope that you can totally make big law money (50k$) from a t50 school which doesnt even matter anyway as all lawyers are miserable anyway :marseyseethe:

how is mediumlawceling? Is that like being able to afford a new BMW plug-in hybrid and its upkeep or is it like that balding lawyer in Better Call Saul who has to be at the courthouse?

My lowlawcel friend either committed suicide or decided to frick off to a foreign country, either way no one's heard from them since covid.

So I took an of counsel route at a ~80 or so lawyer firm after being at a 3 lawyer firm for a couple of years because covid caused one of the other attorneys to retire. I do IP consulting for clients mostly, and don't really go to court as much as I used to back in my big law days.

Frankly I bill under 1300 hours a year and spend a lot of time mentoring young folk and fricking around. Recently a named partner has been on an "AI" kick so I get to play with that and write responsible use policies for clients. Compared to my old life of 2200 billables a year or scraping by to feed myself, it's been a good change.

Friend of mine went to a bottom tier law school thats accredited, will be making 6 figs working for the gov 2 years post grad. If you're not in the ivys you can still make it, the secret is to just get good grades and do part time work in law offices because the experience > the education.

The other "secret" is to just go to the best law school in your state. Are Emory and UGA the best law schools in the country? No. Will going to one of them be a big boost if you want a job at King & Spalding, Troutman Pepper, or Alston & Bird? Yes. :marseysoutherner:

I'm sure UT Austin and Texas A&M are similarly helpful to anyone looking to work at Vinson & Elkins, Baker Botts, or Haynes and Boone. So her school of choice is fine. :marseytexan:

Unfortunately, she's terrible with money, which (((lawyers))) aren't gonna like. Might be time to choose another profession. :chadjew:

Very common for VA workers to have multiple masters and multiple bachelors. It's not all that unbelievable that the dad is fricking broke with all those meme degrees.

The reddit's good too, looks split on whether they like her or not. Great catch on her responding to things, didn't even occur to me to check the youtube comments for that.
