Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, stop and think about why you think the way you do.
Remember that you can't read people's minds and that getting upset about stuff you have no evidence to believe.
For example: you mention a band or artist you like to a coworker and you start assuming that the other person is laughing at you and thinks you're a gay loser. STOP.
Why do you think they would think that?
Do you think that liking that makes you a gay loser?
If so why? Is it a valid reason or just your opinion/assumptions?
If not then why would they think you're a gay loser?
Not to gatekeep, I would never do that. But I started CBT and everything they said was something I already thought of while being stuck in bed in constant pain for a long period. So that got terminated really fast because there was no room for improvement, which meant that the therapist can't justify their existence.
Everyone is trying to frick you and we've got a health care system with all of the downsides of the Soviet Union but we've added more.
Meditation, and remember the world in general does not give a shit about you. You think they noticed that dumb thing you did, or the thing you said wrong? No, they're too focused on themselves to worry about that.
Take the Rhod Gilbert approach. Close your eyes, put your head down, and try and quiet out the voices. It's not an instant cure, you'll have to keep trying it. But it will help if you stick to it.
