Idk we've known each other for a few months and hang out multiple times a week so I thought it was normal but I guess I just dont understand social boundaries 
. I also asked my trans girl friend if she also wanted to come too but she kept stressing that on weekends is when she hangs with her bf 
took me a few days to realize she was prob telling me off lmao

Im not angry over her im more face palming because im afraid it came off as asking on a date and i dont wanna be a creep im not even angry at him. Im just a little sad cause i was happy to have a friend come with me but yeah if ppl are busy or dont wanna go then its their life

Fair enough. Just remember that everybody perceives the world from themselves outwards, and while you may perceive yourself as the central character of your story and ask yourself why they didn't show up for your birthday, they perceive themselves as the central characters and their narrative is about their passionate weekend together. And to make things even more complex, this whole time neither you or them are aware that the central character of this narrative is secretly me and you're all just minor side characters in my story.
