I personally think progressives should definitely push this so overtone window at least moves somewhat to the left on this.

Seriously what fricking planet does this guy live on where the overton window on immigration is right? Rightoids who talk about the border are swiftly labeled racists and tossed in with the other political undesirables. There are actual policy debates being had on wether upholding the law and deporting illegals isn't too mean.

I think the Overton window is "Hey there's something going on down there, we should probably do something about it." The border states bussing the migrants to sanctuary cities definitely pushed things right. Where as before, they didn't have to deal with an influx of people like on the southern border. Now they do, and they deserve it. /r/neoliberal's stance is it's not happening, and if it is, it's a good thing, chud.
