So to be clear, frick this border bill. I get this knee jerk "progressives bad" stance, but no pathway to dreamers, no accelerated work permits for asylum seekers no Afghanistan Adjustment act. All so we can get a border bill that is built entierly on bullshit. No our border is not in danger. No we will not lose our culture or our economy if we don't shut it down. No coyotes and MS13 are not flooding into the country. All we're getting is a wedge issue that Republicans made up whole cloth because "millions of people are flooding our southern border" when we should be looking at that and think "based we have incredibly unemployment and have a huge labor shortage in construction, factory work, and farming, all things that, if solved, will massively lower inflation".

It all comes back to "flood the market with cheap labor" with these r-slurs lol.

This sub needs to get out of "democrat brain" and go back to actually arguing for what we believe in.

Which at this point is taco trucks and nonsense.

I personally think progressives should definitely push this so overtone window at least moves somewhat to the left on this.

Seriously what fricking planet does this guy live on where the overton window on immigration is right? Rightoids who talk about the border are swiftly labeled racists and tossed in with the other political undesirables. There are actual policy debates being had on wether upholding the law and deporting illegals isn't too mean.

I am almost always correct. And though I can come off as arrogant - I do it with finesse and style. You, though, appear kinda wet behind the ears, are pretty much an empty suit, and are scarcely fit to address me as you are so clearly my inferior. If we ever have a real debate about anything of substance (which seems unlikely as you are heavily on the trolling and shit stirring side of things) you will lose and lose badly. And I'll do it with half my brain tied behind my back. Yes, I'm that good. But more than that - I've never seen anything out of you that substantiates your inflated opinion of yourself. I'd like to buy you for what you are worth and sell you for what you think you are worth. But alas, that seems about as likely as any kind of worthwhile discussion. Because unless you stick around here a lot I'm soon going to go back to being uninterested in you.
