This whole controversy is so stupid because there is no singaporean ethnicity and 75% of them are chinese ethnically. It's not unreasonable that CCP would use diaspora chinese to further their goals internationally, a person with non-chinese nationality could still be connected to the CCP through family or just affinity for China.
