This whole controversy is so stupid because there is no singaporean ethnicity and 75% of them are chinese ethnically. It's not unreasonable that CCP would use diaspora chinese to further their goals internationally, a person with non-chinese nationality could still be connected to the CCP through family or just affinity for China. Westerners are so naive to how nationalistic and loyal some global chinese are. Actually it would be quite smart on China's part to use these people since they can just cry "racism" when accused

Yeah those tiktoks are literally pushed psyops since they control the algorithm. That's exactly what I would do. Make some Singaporean the ceo of tiktok and use him as a proxy to deflect criticism of the clearly rigged and manipulative algorithm poisoning the zoomer mind.
