There's been an undercurrent of liberal ideology throughout media influencing public opinion for decades, but they really went mask off the past decade. After the petty squabble that was g*mergate, it feels like every single liberal cultural institution decided to quintuple down out of spite for that one and only pushback. They turned the heat up on the frogs too fast and now they're jumping out of the pot.

I think it's a competency issue. Writers have been liberal since forever but they could still make entertaining products. Right about when millennials grew into those roles, the messaging became less subtle and the content became less entertaining. Even normies noticed the latter bit.
