Im not sure if they are still online, but there used to be an LSAT and MCAT Ivy score calculator that would tell you your admissions likelihood. The biggest factor by far was race. If you put black you could basically be a C- minus student with a middling (but not total trash) LSAT or MCAT and have a chance still (not a good one but like 10-20%), if you put Asian you had to be straight As and excellent test scores for good odds.

I'm in the tech industry and I feel a lot of sympathy for those miners, in fact I donated to an Appalachian rural poverty fund a long time ago which helps people in these areas get back on their feet after losing their jobs.
