Did they finally realize their entire after market is poors and black people? There's a zero percent chance the "bimmers clubs" wouldn't just jail break these cars as a hobby.

Really stupid especially considering they're a “luxury “ brand.

Somewhere, there's a lone SaaS sales consultant that has long since left the business, staring into his expensive whiskey on the rocks as he swirls it next to a bespoke fireplace

>they actually went into subscription heated seats

>they did it

>I got them to do it

>but at what cost

having buttons for seat warmers

Oh no no no :marseyxd:

You actually think these basic functions have physical buttons you can easily locate and have a tactile feedback they were pressed, in 2023?

When the company can just slap a giant screen for $5 and do it all through software, buckbreaking people into thinking it's better because muh options and customization?

Those aren't the people buying used bmws. Used bmws are compromised of the two groups that back their cars in. Blacks, and poor car guys into bmws.

I figure that's the 20+ year old used market where the only money BMW has to make off of them is if they sprint for OEM parts as their fuel pump/radiator/suspension fails repeatedly, I assume this is a ploy to capture value from these cars 3-5 years out from sale like people who bought out their lease

I'm talking about 5-10 year old cars. Those two groups like to go into debt for status symbols.

Wasn't it announced that it will be a subscription once it exists (I know, LOL)? The one-time payment is basically an option to prepay and not subscribe later.

while it will still pursue some subscription features in the future, those will only be software-based services.

Oh, you want to turn on your lights? Start the engine? Wipe your windshields? Well my goyim, now that everything in the car is centrally controlled by a computer running a software, I'm afraid you are going to have to subscribe to the Headlight-App, the Engine-App and the Wiper-App for those luxurious features to work :marseymerchant:

On the topic of subscriptions, what is it about services like Netflix, Hulu, Spotify, etc that attracts normies like a moth to a flame to the point it's considered weird not to have them? I was talking to someone IRL (I know this is already out of character) about the best ways to listen to music online, and he kept insisting Spotify was somehow better than YouTube without explaining what features it had that YouTube did not, even though YouTube is free, doesn't require an account, has comments, and can be used to watch videos as well. What advantage did he think he had?

Tell me more about how you listen to your personal library that isn't available through a major studio licenser on Spotify. I upload it to YTM. I think Apple Music is the only other service with upload support, but I don't use a Mac.

better interface (tailored to browing music), better quality, better bandwidth use not having to load a 30 minute video that's just a png of the album art

artist pages that have all the discography there and organized

I mean if I wanted one specific song or weird old album, and to use adblock id search it on the tube but otherwise spotterfy

esp when phone listening bc yt cucks you to either keep the screen on or deal with the desktop interface on mobile (and the data concerns above)

some stuff on yt still has things like noisy intros which activates my :marseyautism: instead of having a clean copy of the song or album.

plus anything you have saved on yt will be wiped out every once in a while as people get their videos copystruck or their accounts get susan'd

the paid music service on yt isnt bad and competes with spotify
