the problem:
Under our current regime, posts quickly become stale: they fall off the front page within hours. On traditional forums, an effortpost could receive years of discussion. Here a Master's thesis quality longpost from @kaamrev will fall off the front page and be forgotten within a day at most.
how to fix it:
Currently posts are ranked based on a score incorporating a number of variables, notably vote count and elapsed time since post creation. Comments are ranked using the same set of variables. The ranking score of subcomments does not currently factor into the ranking of the parentpost.
I propose we rank posts based on
max(post_score, max(comment_score))
This would allow dramacels to leave a comment on an old post, ping a few people, and revive the post to the front page for more to join in

I have been a vegetarian for my entire life
I have never consumed chicken, turkey, or any other type of meat
However in recent years I have started consooming beef on occasion
I have recently engaged in argument with some on IRC who claim this means I am no longer a vegetarian
According to https://Dictionary.gov a vegetarian is defined as "a person who does not eat any foodstuff that can only be manufactured through the slaughtering of an animal, bird, or fish"
Unlike chicken wings, etc it is feasible to harvest beef from a cattle without killing it

The researcher figured out the following (pasted from the blogpost):
The ability to order any number of menu items for ₹1 ($0.01 USD).
The ability to steal/hijack/redirect other people's delivery orders through a specific sequence of carefully timed API calls.
The ability to retrieve the details of any order.
The ability to track any order in the "On the way" status. You could real-time track the location of the driver for any order.
The ability to download invoices for any order.
The ability to submit feedback for orders that are not your own.
The ability to view admin KPI reports.
Sensitive driver/rider information that could be accessed:
Name
Email address
Phone number
Vehicle license plate number
Profile picture
Saar please take this amazon giftcard I stole from your mother saar
The post is very boring as the techniques used were very basic. I'm not calling the researcher garbage, I'm saying that their website was very poorly setup.

Unlike the other post I'm not doing a straggy AI summary
Louis doesn't like LTT's handshake with one arm and dagger in the other bullshit that he pulls
Honey TLDR. Linus is a beta cuck for not telling his audience that he and his audience got scammed by Honey.
Louis pulls out printed pieces of paper to show how much it costs to advertise on LTT's channel
Honey is super invasive and Linus is one of the few people in a position to stand up to them, but didn't because he feels it would hurt his brand to admit he was conned.
Steve/G*mers Nexus is at fault for not going harder at Linus. Linus cries out as he strikes you and will put the dictionary definition of morality on the screen at the same time.
Linus is overly concerned about his image, he took money for a high-visibility video and only walked it back in a forum post that had 1% of the visibility. Linus uses false dichotomies to weasel his way out of responsibility.
Extra context only makes Linus look worse. Steve left it out to be nice, and Linus crucified him for it. He literally knows that his audience is a bunch of r-slurred simps.
Linus is an Influencer (bad)
Steve goes too far to meet people on their terms while they judge him on completely different terms. He accepts the premise of buttholes.
Right to reply is not right to spin a story in your favor. Get fricked
Some petty shit about Linus trying to call Louis clumsy even though Linus breaks shit all the time. Linus invited Rossman to his conference but wouldn't give him a +1 even though it's just making money for Linus and taking him away from his business for half a week. IDK I had to get tea and I'm listening at 3x. Lots of emails. Old beef with Linus.
accountability and warrantees vs Linus who makes fun of Right to Repair shit. Linus seems to only care about contracts when it comes to his employees. There's no "trust me bro" when it comes to contracts.
Steve is rom-com naïve, Linus is a
who will text you on an old number, knowing you can't respond, and then hold your non-response against you.
Linus's problem is he doesn't have customers, he doesn't have peers, nobody is going to check him on his behavior and he's fine being how he is.
Dozens of others have had the poor experience of dealing with Linus. People should stop treating him as a gatekeeper into tech, your products will sell without LTT shilling them.
