The only reason cryptids need to hide is so they don't get shot by narrow minded humans, so if you're in a place where humans are gonna shoot at you regardless of whether they know you're a cryptid that sort of defeats the point of hiding there in the first place

Literally the only reason for cryptids to get involved in war is if they can get some money or political power out of it since why bother taking sides in any conflict when both sides are gonna treat you like a second-class citizen?

We were talking about cryptids who can pass as human, like Aswang or Kitsune. Cryptids that don't have at least human level intelligence wouldn't even be able to make decisions because they would act purely on instinct.
