Nine of the ten First Division soccer clubs that published a support post on Instagram for the rights of the LGTBIQ+ community lost followers. West is tapped out, there's less than a billion Westerners and not all of them are on the LGBT train, in fact some actively resist getting on! Western International companies need to start looking at non-Mayos for advertising, engagement and revenue streams for numbers. The rest of the World is further right than the average Rightoid Westoid. The LGBT gravy train can only go so far before there's financial and brand damage like in the case of Bud Lite and growing disinterest in Disney properties.

I know it’s a slippery-slope meme to say "we just want to be treated like everyone else", but the homos of my generation truly just wanted to be treated like everyone else. It never used to be about "such the shenis, bigot", or black and
chevrons on the pride flag.
Like all institutions in the western world, the gay rights movement was infiltrated and captured by shitlibs after 2005 or so.

IMO the "slippery slope" tendency has more to do with the massive network of activists, fundraisers, media, etc that formed around the gay rights movement over the course of the 30+ years leading up to Obergefell. This is why the whole
s movement feels so artificial and forced: all the resources, organizations, and individuals in these networks suddenly shifted gear once they had attained their political goals vis a vis gay rights.
