if an indirect free kick is kicked directly into the opponents' goal, a goal kick is awarded
if a direct or indirect free kick is kicked directly into the team's own goal, a corner kick is awarded

I mean isn't that common knowledge? You cannot score a goal from that position, but the ball leaves the play area. So the other team gets possession of the ball, and at that side of the field it's a corner. It's similar with no offside from throw ins. People always "omg why how?".
The only rule that I still don't understand is when pens are given and when VAR interferes with them.
