The Niners had the maximum amount of compensatory picks in the 2023 NFL Draft with seven. Three of those — all third-round selections — were awarded because of the NFL's minority hiring incentive. It's a process that began in 2020 in which the NFL awards teams picks for losing minority coaches, or top executives, to another team.

Yeah, NFL owners are legit r-slurs that just react to things and pass PR puff “league rules” like this and the Rooney rule (you have to interview at least one minority when looking for a head coach) and then don't do it anyway. Then when someone takes advantage of the systems they set in place, by the owners, they get mad because it's assumed no one would actually take advantage of them outside of the Steelers.

Everyone knows that the nfl is the least creative group of frickers ever to do anything. They basically just hire the coaching staff of whichever team is doing well at the time.

I'm curious if the Niners actually have a higher percentage of BIPOC coaches or is this just the result of teams feasting on their coaching staff like a bunch of hyenas?
