but I had a great uncle who was a legit grandiose narcissist who wrote terrible novels where his self insert saved the universe new age magic and fricked every type of girl, and he would always talk about how it's gonna be made into a film, he's willing to negotiate film rights, and shmooze with anyone within 3 degrees of connection to hollywood
he made his wife work two jobs so he could stay home and write because it was gonna make him a millionaire
after the divorce his (mostly teenage) kids all said he was dead whenever asked about him (they didn't miss him)
he whined everyone who would listen that their mother turned them against him, etc
and if it weren't for her-- his books would be a movie franchise by now
