All hot girls constantly fart, burp, bloat, and suffer from constipation and diarrhea.
That's according to TikTok, where it's become trendy for women to share their experiences of living with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) — a common digestive disorder.
And these videos are drawing eyeballs on the platform, with the hashtag #IBStiktok receiving 62.7 million views and #hotgirlswithIBS getting 11.8 million views. Not only do they help to raise awareness of the condition, TikTok commenters say that they are helping to normalize the idea that women, well, poop.
Christine Olivo, who runs the Instagram account @myIBSlife, regularly shares TikToks of how she deals with the condition, often with plenty of humor.
"If you cant handle me at my 💩, you don't deserve me at my 💁🏼♀️," she captioned one video where she is seen strutting out of the bathroom holding rolls of potty paper and a bottle of air freshener spray.
"When one of the queens is crying over a guy that couldn't handle her hot girl stomach issues," she wrote in the text overlay of the clip, where she also lip-syncs to Gilette's hit song "Short Peepee Man."
The video, which has received two million views, drew more than a thousand comments from other users who say they can relate and deal with their own stomach problems.
"Anyone else watching this from the potty?" one user wrote alongside a laughing face emoji.
Olivo, who was diagnosed with IBS in 2007, wrote in a post online that trying to deal with the condition has led to "some of the most frustrating, draining, embarassing and heartbreaking times of my life."
"While medications and little tips and tricks have helped me manage my physical pain, humor has always helped me cope with the mental pain of dealing with my chronic illness," she continued.
IBS is a condition that affects the large intestine and can cause abdominal discomfort, constipation, and diarrhea. An estimated 10-15% of adults have the condition, making it one of the most common gastrointestinal diseases in the US.
Singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams also posted a TikTok documenting what she described as "my daily routine."
In the clip, which has received 4.2 million views, she is seen blowing hot air on her stomach using a hair dryer. "They say IBS is for cuties only," the text reads onscreen.Meanwhile, Nadya Okamoto, known for advocating against period stigma, shared a TikTok in which she called herself a "constipation queen."
In the video, which received 3.7 million views, she wears a sheer black babydoll dress similar to the one Rihanna wore in March to show off a baby bump. Except that Okamoto is not pregnant.
"Haven't pooped in a week, but my bloated poo-filled belly is coming in handy for tonight!" she wrote in the video text.

I'm a moid who has it. When I got diagnosed I was IBS-M because I alternated between periods of constipation and periods of diarrhea. I had a really bad episode at the time I got diagnosed where I'd have diarrhea all the time accompanied with a constant panicked state of mind (I think rooted in fear I'd shit my pants, which fortunately never happened). There was also a period of my life where I didn't shit for a month and it got quite painful. I always ate healthy and got decent exercise so idk if I blame not doing those on mine. I took some probiotic during that really bad period and it's fine now. I'd say I live pretty much like anyone else at this point. My understanding is that the major distinction between IBS and IBD (like Chron's) is that IBS describes symptoms (typically cramps and uncomfortable shit patterns) that could be caused by a number of things (stress, your diet, etc.) and have to do with brain-gut interaction but not necessarily any physical issue like a disease. Whereas IBD is where you have inflammation in your GI tract (Chron's) and or colon (ulcerative colitis) that can be much more serious (although I've heard other people with IBS claim it can be debilitating and it was for me for short periods of time).

Yes, I'd say that's more or less right based on my experience. I'm sure there are people out there with a really bad case that doesn't have a clear cure (but I suspect in those cases there's some underlying disease or injury causing the IBS symptoms). I think this hot girl with IBS thing is kind of like fibromyalgia and other conditions certain types of people (I will venture to say more foids than moids) latch onto because no one can prove you don't have it and they can demand accommodations based on it but it's generally relatively mild. Women I meet who have it often have a long list of things they claim they can't eat and/or special accommodations they insist on due to their IBS. I won't say these things don't help them in every case but I suspect at least a few are using it to avoid having to eat things they don't like or to make people hosting a party cook something special or make special drinks for them or whatever.
Oh and if anyone's curious: I remembered why I got diagnosed. I had just quit smoking which caused the IBS-D (diarrhea) episode. I hadn't been smoking more than a few months but I got in a pattern where I relied on the nicotine causing me to shit (I'd also smoke to skip meals, which probably wasn't good either). I forget the exact details but not having that nicotine and eating more regularly caused me to have a more severe outbreak while I adjusted to new habits (IIRC there's a fair amount of research about this if you search for smoking, nicotine, vaping, and IBS).

lmao it did kinda feel like I was dying after a certain point. Unbearable cramps all the time. Tried all kinds of different laxatives and nothing did the trick then I randomly woke up sweating and had to go take the most massive shit ever then I went back to normal.

Crohns is inflammation in your intestines, usually your colon. IBS is usually when your intestines dont move in sync or have some other issue. IBS is a catch all for some dysfunction. Crohns has tests amd is a lot worse and even lofe threatening
