I wore some leggings and a big grey hoodie, with no makeup and a ponytail. I got there first so just sat down and started scrolling on my phone, and I was looking forward to getting to know my date better.
Personally, I wouldn't go to a date in gym clothes unless it's a gym date! If a guy did that I would assume he doesn't put effort in his appearance and therefore would probably not go on a second date. This might be cultural but here gym clothes aren't really appropriate outside of the gym.

Honestly if a women avoids dressing up fancy and doing her makeup on her first date, isn't that the opposite of a catfish? Like now you know what she's gonna look like when she wakes up next to you in bed, so there are zero surprises. And yeah, it's only a coffee date so why make a big commitment? Honestly I'm team foid here. Let people go goblin mode on their first date so you can see what you'd be getting for the rest of your life if you shacked up with them
