I've spoken to foids about stuff like this before too. It's actually quite interesting. Basically everyone just gives compliments about what they'd like to hear themselves rather than the kind of stuff that the opposite s*x actually likes to hear.

Men find value in physical attractiveness and inherent femaleness of a person and their compliments all tend to be around that area. 'you're so pretty' or 'it's so cute how you laugh' etc

Women find value in consistent supportive action and will be more likely to focus on those things, something like that their partner went and did the shopping without being asked, and even bought something that she forgot she needed, stuff that seem awfully trivial to men but meaningful to women.

Op's fiance is an r-slur but I guarantee she makes the same mistakes. Most women have no idea how to compliment a man and probably most men out there can count on one hand the number of actually meaningful compliments he's received in his life.
