I used to have a prompt on a dating profile about a date idea that said something like "go on a hike! But not on a first date because I don't want to get murdered." The sheer number of men who thought it was really funny to joke about how they would murder me in various ways in the woods, or how they wouldn't need to go on a hike to a secluded place to kill me, or how they would wait til the third date to hike and murder me, etc. was horrifying. I don't think that they could understand that while I was semi-joking, it comes from a place of genuine fear of that happening, and joking about killing a stranger isn't funny imo.
