I would definitely say that single, 38, with a hot young lover is pretty good and scrotes that say otherwise are coping and seething. The real issue here is that when she's 45 she won't be able to have a hot young lover (unless she really stretches the definition of "hot" and "young") and it would seriously be pretty weird if that's what she still aspired to at that age, and in the meantime it'll be hard for her to transition into the kind of life that is fun and fulfilling at 45 (married with a couple of kids).

More generally, for foids and moids alike, you technically can keep doing the mid-20s/early-30s "fun" lifestyle until your 40s, but at some point you can't, and also at some point you get tired of it. I have this hot New Yorker club/party girl friend in her mid-20s who for some reason knows all these 50-year old finance guys still in that scene and they're all extremely pathetic. The difficulty is you have to consciously transition to the new lifestyle (settle down and have some kids) while you're still in your prime "having fun" phase or you'll be too late and get stuck there forever.
