Can barely wait until globohomo just Smash Bros everything and announce Media: The Multiverse, and puts every single media franchise on a single narrative, like the DeviantArt/fanfiction neurodivergents from 2009, but sovlless. :marseyitsallsotiresome: !accelerationists !commenters

!kino, reminds me of the Tommy Westphall hypothesis, where 99% of television series take place within the mind of the neurodivergent child from the final scene of St. Elsewhere. Dwayne McDuffie came up with the idea to mock people who take crossovers and continuity way too seriously, but now that every franchise on the planet is designed to cater to !neurodivergents that spend all their time obsessing over "lore", some version of it is probably going to become "canon" to something or other eventually. :marseysnowglobe:

Capitalism pushes "Quantum Mechanics" as a thing in order to seed your mind with the idea of a "multiverse" so that you're primed to spend money on endless crossover slop.

My experience on YouTube is that people love references to things they recognize. The more popular a thing is the more people recognize it and the more rewarded you are for referencing it.

Why are some of them just screenshots I thought usually it was all custom art

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

More importantly, given that they're just screenshots, why do they have artist credits at the bottom? The ones credited to "Tyler Walpole" stand out in particular, because even knowing very little about SpongeBob, I'm 99% sure those are just images he pulled from Know Your Meme or something. :marseywatermark:

They're not, the artist was actually paid to redraw the screenshots.

Jump in the discussion.

The issue is it comes across as lazy when you consider the fact that people have been using these exact screenshots to make alt arts for these exact cards for years and now WotC is selling them at a premium price.

It's not lazy if that's literally what the customers want.

Fans and players of Magic: The Gathering know fully well that the franchise often rolls out collections that celebrate pop culture icons

I know fully well this game was incredibly gay in 1997 and 100 dollars at Kinkos would net you a legendary deck. Always been a money sink for neurodivergent r-slurs.

Just go all in:

Eh, it's a secret lair, which are just silly cash grab variants of existing cards and not part of the standard set releases.

If nerds want to sneed, they should be sneeding about how the current standard set is literally "Grand Prix" themed. As in, all the different planes of existence that have been at war for all of time apparently decided to pause their endless conflict and meet up on a new plane to have a fricking car race.

Now that they're done playing cowboys and indians (oops, can't offend the sacred cow that is "indigenous peoples") cowboys and uh other cowboys a few sets ago.

It's actually pretty impressive how WotC has managed to take a concept that's already inherently gay and lame - a collectible trading card game - and continually find ways to make it infinitely more lame and gay even after decades.

>Now that they're done playing cowboys and indians (oops, can't offend the sacred cow that is "indigenous peoples") cowboys and uh other cowboys a few sets ago.

The Big Bang Theory had a running gag where the main male characters played this trading card game and would announce the names of the cards they played which were all just dumb fantasy puns. One of the expansions for that card game was called "Wild West and Witches", a cowboy themed set.

That MTG cowboy set makes me think of that Big Bang Theory joke and it showed me how much they jumped the shark, their set design is about as deep as a throwaway gag from a normie sitcom.

I saw this one particular young couple that stood out from the rest only because the girl looked absolutely perfect. She was tall, blonde, and sexy. She would have towered over me in height, and her boyfriend of course towered over her. They were both wearing beach gear, and the girl was in her bikini, showing off to everyone her sensual, erection-causing body. Her blonde hair was wet from swimming in the ocean, and it only made her look more arousing. The two of them were holding hands, and it was clear that they were in love. I saw the boyfriend place his hand on the girl's butt, and when he did this the girl looked at him and smiled with delight. That guy was in heaven. I can only imagine how amazing it must be to have s*x with a girl like that. I had to witness everything I wanted but could not have. It made me feel dizzy with anguish.
